I designed and produced this web site as a school project and learned PHP and MySQL in the process. I also used HTML and CSS of course and Smarty Template Engine, which did quite not open up to me but I'm sure it is useful. The lay-out is pretty simple, but this time i decided the contents was more important.

You can find information about my exchange period and about the country, especially Shanghai in the general department. More insight to the time I spent there and my feelings and musings can be found in the journal section. Please feel free to comment on these writings, though unfortunately I can only offer them in Finnish due to (laziness) my limitations in the English language.

The photo pages are my favourites on this site. I have categorized some of my photos into subcategories to ease the amount of them to a busy viewer. But I must tell you, I had a lot more, until my hard drive blew up. Yes, I do take safety copies nowadays. I hope you will comment on the pictures anyhow, and be patient, I will try to have the "prev" and "next" buttons working some day.

On the last pages in the tips+advice section I have tried to list some of the most important things you should consider before traveling to China, especially if you are going on this same exchange programme. Hope you will find it useful!
